The King's Speech, out on Blu Ray now, is an award winning drama based on the true story of King George VI of Great Britain and the man who helped him to overcome his debilitating speech impediment, Australian speech therapist Lionel Logue.
There is much to love and admire in this film, which is why it's captured the hearts of movie goers and critics alike. It is a tale of success against all odds, and one cannot help but admire the character of King George as his courage remained undaunted in his battle with the stammer that stood in his way to assuming the throne. Colin Firth as King George VI or "Bertie" and Geoffrey Rush as Lionel Logue make the perfect odd couple, and give audiences great examples of two strong, intelligent men, each with their own brand of humor and manners.
