Now that HD DVD is dead, home theatre fans have only one choice for their best dvds to render the expected quality satisfaction: Blu-ray. Ever since standalone Blu-ray players hit the market, there's been a great deal of anticipation for the Oppo Blu-ray disc player, and it is believed to live up to the hype. The Oppo Digital BDP- 83 is considered the best bluray dvd players because the quality of the Bluray disc and dvd performance approach perfection. The universality of the Oppo Bdp-83 lies in the fact that the player offers compatibility with a wide variety of disc formats including audio CDs, DVD- audios, DVDs and Blurays etc. While it's a compelling the choice doesn't however proves to be the perfect one as it lacks built-in Wi-Fi, and more importantly, streaming media features such as Netflix and Pandora which are available on cheaper Blu-ray players from Samsung and LG. At $500 list price, it's also very expensive but is worth the price for its excellent and impressive services.
